Dinesh Pratap Singh Questions Rahul Gandhi’s Strategy in Amethi, Asserts BJP’s Presence in Rae Bareli.

BJP leader Dinesh Pratap Singh took a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for nominating Kishori Lal Sharma as the Amethi candidate, suggesting that it reflects Gandhi’s lack of seriousness in winning the constituency. Singh, the BJP’s Rae Bareli candidate, criticized Gandhi’s choice, referring to Sharma as a “peon,” and implied that it undermines the Congress’ electoral prospects in Amethi. He questioned Gandhi’s commitment to securing victory in both Amethi and Raebareli, pointing out that nominating Sharma raises doubts about Gandhi’s intentions. Singh expressed confidence that Gandhi would lose both seats, alleging that Gandhi has evaded facing the electorate in Amethi. He praised BJP’s Smriti Irani for her dedication and affection towards Amethi, contrasting it with Gandhi’s supposed neglect.

Singh also took a swipe at Sonia Gandhi, suggesting that her decision to leave Rae Bareli was driven by fear of losing. He accused Rahul Gandhi of merely filing his nomination in Rae Bareli and then leaving for Delhi, contrasting this with his own active campaigning in the villages of Rae Bareli. In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, KL Sharma, a close aide of the Gandhi family, will compete against Union Minister Smriti Irani in Amethi, while Singh will face Rahul Gandhi in Rae Bareli. Both constituencies will vote in the fifth phase of the elections on May 20, with results announced on June 4.
