Chief Minister Dhami’s Aerial Welcome for Kanwarias: Flowers Showered from Helicopters
In a gesture directed by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, District Magistrate Vinay Shankar Pandey and Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Yogendra Rawat welcomed Kanwarias by showering flowers from a helicopter as they walked along the Kanwar Patti at the Narsan border of Haridwar district. This floral welcome extended from the border to Bairagi Camp, Shankaracharya Chowk, Har Ki Pauri, and Upper Road. The Kanwarias, overwhelmed by the shower of flowers, expressed their appreciation for this unique welcome and the arrangements made by the government. As the flowers descended from the helicopter, the area echoed with chants of “Bam-Bam Bhole.”
Previously, Chief Minister Dhami personally welcomed Shiva devotees at Ganga Ghat near Dam Kothi in Haridwar on Wednesday. He greeted the devotees participating in the Kanwar Yatra by washing their feet and offering them Ganga Jali. Every day, lakhs of Shiva devotees join the Kanwar Yatra in Haridwar to seek blessings from Mother Ganga. Many have already returned to their homes with holy Ganga water to offer at shrines in their respective regions. The Kanwar Yatra is set to conclude on July 26.
