Amit Shah Unveils BJP Vision for Jammu and Kashmir, Criticizes NC and PDP
Amit Shah, addressing a massive rally at the Manhas Biradari Grounds in Paloura, outside Jammu City, unveiled the BJP’s vision for Jammu and Kashmir. He launched a scathing attack on regional parties, particularly the National Conference (NC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), accusing them of exploiting Kashmiri youth under the guise of security. Shah passionately highlighted the grim realities faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing the prevalence of fake encounters and the tragic loss of innocent lives. He directly challenged Farooq Abdullah (NC president) and the PDP, questioning under whose tenure the highest number of fake encounters occurred and who was responsible for arming Kashmiri youth. Shah asserted that the Modi government has brought peace and development to the region, putting an end to terrorism, violence, and unrest. Shah expressed optimism about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, attributing the restoration of peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir to his efforts. He credited the government for abolishing Article 370 and ensuring the national flag flies proudly across the region. Shah affirmed the permanence of the tricolor, dismissing the PDP’s doubts about its continued presence in Kashmir. In a bid to garner support from Kashmiri voters, Shah expressed confidence that the lotus symbol of the BJP would flourish in the region as well. Despite not fielding candidates in certain Kashmiri constituencies, the party remained determined to establish a strong presence in the area.
