Jio Announces Price Hike for Prepaid, Postpaid Plans by Up to Rs. 600 Starting July 3
Mumbai: Reliance Jio has announced a significant price hike for its prepaid and postpaid plans, with increases reaching up to Rs. 600. This adjustment will affect monthly, daily, and annual plans, starting from July 3.
Key Highlights:
- Price Increase Across Plans: The telecom giant has revised prices for various daily, monthly, and annual prepaid and postpaid recharge plans. The new tariff plans start at Rs. 189 and go up to Rs. 3,599.
- 5G Data Facility Limitation: The unlimited 5G data facility is now restricted to customers on plans with 2GB of data per day or more.
- New Unlimited Plans: The latest series of unlimited plans are set to be effective from July 3. The base plan at Rs. 189 offers 2GB daily data for 28 days, while the top-tier plan at Rs. 3,599 provides 2.5GB of daily data for 365 days.
Detailed Plan Revisions:
- Annual Plans: The existing premium annual recharge plan priced at Rs. 2,999 will now cost Rs. 3,599, maintaining the offer of 2.5GB daily data for 365 days.
- Monthly Plans: The Rs. 155 monthly plan, which includes 2GB data per day, will see a price increase to Rs. 189. Additionally, five other monthly prepaid plans have also been revised.
- Two-Month Plan: The two-month recharge plan previously at Rs. 479 has been revised to Rs. 579, continuing to offer 1.5GB of data per day for 56 days.
- Three-Month Plan: The affordable three-month plan will increase from Rs. 395 to Rs. 479, providing a total data benefit of 6GB.
- Popular 84-Day Plan: The well-liked Rs. 666 plan, with 84-day validity, is now priced at Rs. 799.
Impact on Customers:
Despite the hike in prices, the benefits provided by Reliance Jio’s prepaid and postpaid plans will remain unchanged. The company asserts that these new plans will take effect from July 3, urging customers to be aware of the upcoming changes.
With this price revision, Reliance Jio continues to adapt its pricing strategy while ensuring that customers still receive substantial data and service benefits.
